Tote bag becomes mum!

Driving along a very remote stretch of road out the back of Mt Isa, we noticed a pair of tiny legs sticking out of a wallaby's pouch on the side of the road. The mum had been struck by a car earlier that morning. After gently lifting the tiny orphan out of the pouch, we buddled her up in a towel and put her in the best thing we could find, a large tote bag we were carrying with us on our 6 week road trip. Named 'Widget' by our youngest child, the wallaby (actually a baby Euro) took a liking to the bag. She lived in it and accompanied us on our journey for the entire 6 weeks until we returned to the central desert and placed her with a wildlife rehab group...where she is apparently doing very well!
